Team C, though Dimaggio in right and Mantle in center might get the manager fired.

Gotta be team C. DiMaggio, Mantle, Gibson(who is often over-looked), Thomas, Schmidt, Bagwell, Randy, Grove, Paige, Cy Young. Amazing team. Compared to the same players in their positions in team D. Suzuki, who is nowhere near the Mick, Musial, who was a great player, but not quite Joltin' Joe. Gibson was much better than Dickey, Thomas and Manny, however is a tightone, but Thomas just edges it. Schmidt was better than Mathews, Pujols, however, I think is better than Bagwell. Randy is better than Santana, Grove was better than Smoltz, Paige was better than Ford, and Young was better than Spahn

Are you running these teams through a sim out of curiosity? How are they stacking up against each other if so?

It this is running as a sim, there would be no competition.

Team C wins out here by a good amount. It's really the pitching that sets them apart though.

Can you answer a question: Are we taking each person in their prime and having them actually play against each other? Or are we comparing the teams based on what they did overall throughout their career? That could change things. Also, how can we compare the negro league players to major leaguers?...We dont really know how good they were. Paige may have been another walter Johnson, or may have been a dud, we dont know for sure so how can we do the comparisons?

Nice team Willshad, but I'd put Henderson in LF and Williams at DH. Makes much more sense defensively.

                            RF F. Robinson
                            DH Ott

                            SP Rogan

                            SP Feller
                            SP Marichal
                            SP Schilling

                            RP Wilhelm

Tried to go with players not selected. It's getting tougher to make a great team. Can these guys hang with any of the above?

yeah I thought about that afterwards....I was just looking for a DH and realized I needed a legit leadoff guy. If you had doubts about your team you could have put Ruth as RF or DH, and put Gehrig at first :-)
