did babe ruth barnstorm your town?

I found out that Babe Ruth came to my hometown in 1921. This was on one of the Yankees barnstorming tours,in direct defiance of Judge Landis' order against world series players participating in post season games.
From the Warren Evening Times,Oct 19,1921: "BABE RUTH AND BOB MEUSEL ARRIVE IN WARREN EARLY IN AFTERNOON;TO RETURN TO JAMESTOWN AFTER GAME." The exhibition game was to be played at 1 pm at the high school field vs. the Warren Independents,who i presume were a local all star team.
The paper goes on to say that "During the early afternoon,a number of local fans gathered around the Carver House waiting with expectant interest for the appearance of Ruth,Meusel and others. However the major leaguers did not stage any public reception."
Anyone else have the Babe come through their small town?

Babe was all over, especially in the New York and Pennsylvania area. Not a small town and much bigger in the 1920s, Buffalo NY where Babe made a number of visits. Found one article in the Buffalo Evening News telling of a home run he hit over the scoreboard in dead centerfield at Offerman Stadium.
The distance to the scoreboard was 400 feet and around 40+ feet high. The stadium was still in use in the late 1950s and I did see that scoreboard, some drive. The only other time that the scoreboard was cleared was at least one time for sure and maybe two times by the same hitter, Luke Easter who could hit a ball a mile, International League.

Ruth was certainly in Dayton, Ohio. I actually saw an original hand bill promoting one such event here last weekend. They wanted a few hundred bucks for it.

A number of times in the state of Ohio. Akron, Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, Lima, Toledo and probably more in that state. I know of one barnstorming game where he hit a home run in Dayton, October 25, 1928.

Don't know about barnstorming, at a quick glance saw none. Some spring training in NC in the 1920s, Charlotte and Ashville.

You may already be aware that Babe hit his first home run as a pro in spring training Fayetteville NC. March 7, 1914.

Sort of a scrimmage game when he was with the Orioles. Ruth started the game at shortstop handled 3 chances then pitched. That homer described as the longest ever there. Untill that time Jim Thorpe held the distance record there.
Today there is a plaque on the grounds denoting the home run.
