Do batting orders or box scores exist for 1922 teams? If so, could some kind soul please give me a pointer?

If your local library has any major newspapers from 1922 (New York Times or Chicago Tribune) you could start there.

If it's a National League team, www.Retrosheet.org has compiled full play by play data for most of the games in 1922. Go to:

"The Directory of Major League Years"

Coincidentally, the only years prior to integration which have been fully (or nearly fully) documented to date are from the National League only:

Specifically, I'd like to find out what were the common lineups for the 1922 Yankees, Browns, and Giants so that I can use line-ups in my sim game replays that resemble those actually used. I realize that teams use(d) various lineups during a season, of course.

Thanks for the reference to retrosheet. I'd never been there before. At first glance it appears that 'BOX+PBP' records exist for some 1922 games, but not others. I'll continue to poke around there.
