I always felt that if they were going to add an asterisk, they should have put it next to Babe's record once Maris broke it, not next to Maris' record. 60 in 150 games is not too shabby.

Sosa is a little less suspicious than Bonds or McGwire. Is there anybody here who thinks Sosa's 66 is the genuine record, rather than Bonds' 73 or McGwire's 70? Just curious.

Not only that, while I can understand the Bonds or Marris I am curious as to the reasoning behind McGwire's votes. Not attacking, just curious.

73 is a larger number than 70, 66, 65, 64, 61, and 60.

It may be but it probably wasnt earned out of pure talent. 61 I think is the all time leader because maris probably didnt take steroids but the most impressive is ruths 60 in 151 games compared to 161 games that maris played.
