I am asking for everyone to post their Top 5 Hitters, and then their next 5 Honorable Mentions.

That way, we can then go back and find all the members who 'forgot' to vote in a present poll, and use their ''adjusted" ballot.

We have 13 ballots so far. Gentlemen, does this thread really deserve to die a wronful death? Are our guests that enjoy our rankings deserving of some more enjoyment.

This is such a blowout, that, while we have a low 13 ballots, I think we'd be better calling this, and saving the longer waits for more competitive rounds.

I'll put it to you this way. The leader is 26 points ahead of second place.

Not trying to be a wiseguy: why do you rate Suzuki so high, and higher than guys like Gwynn, PWaner, Boggs, Clemente, etc.- who also had very high relative BAs, and showed more power?

Because Ichiro has more hits than ll of them...you need someone on base, he's your man

Actually, Ichiro has more hits than none of them. It's not even close.

                          Waner: 3,152
                          Gwynn: 3,141
                          Boggs: 3,010
                          Clemente: 3,000
                          Ichiro: 2,030

And since you said, "you need someone on base, he's your man" I should remind you that getting on also includes walks, hit by pitch, and other things. His relative OBP is lower than all except Clemente's.
