    1. Jeff Bagwell
    2. Duke Snider
    3. Wade Boggs
    4. Paul Waner
    5. Sam Crawford

    6. Ed Delahantty
    7. Manny Ramirez
    8. Roy Campanella
    9. Robin Yount
    10. Joe Jackson

Lots of terrific players in the hunt, but I believe that Bagwell and Snider are the best of the bunch. Bagwell was an unrelentingly outstanding batter his entire career, plus he ran very well for a first baseman. Snider was a true 5 tool star, with great peak seasons. His big bat in centerfield gave the Dodgers a terrific offensive advantage. The great offensive CFers all bring their teams a substantial advantage that many fans don't appreciate.

Thought I'd go through and pick out the top players in WAR remaining. I don't sue the WAR value itself in my ranking, but like to look at the baserunning and positional and defensive components especially. To avoid confusion, I won't number them. Also still think Catchers need some extra longevity boost tacked on to their WAR-maybe 10%, and that league quality is not dealt with for the most part.

          George Davis: 90.8
          Wage Boggs: 89.0
          Roger Connor 87.1
          Dan Brouthers: 83.7
          Jeff Bagwell: 79.9
          Rod Carew: 79.3
          Robin Yount: 76.8
          Chipper Jones: 76.7
          Sam Crawford: 76.3
          Bill Dahlen: 75.9
          Frank Thomas: 75.9
          Paul Molitor: 74.9
          Frankie Frisch: 74.7
          Paul Waner: 73.8
          Fred Clarke: 73.4

          The next catchers are:

          Fisk: 67.5
          I-Rod: 66.6 (through last year)
          Gary CarterL 66.2

Who would all be above 70 with a 10% longevity bonus. I think catchers deserve something because they probably work harder on their "off" days than other players.

It'll be two weeks tomorrow, so I'll post the results then. I am working with more than what has actually been posted. Go ahead and get your votes in if you haven't already.
