Lots of terrific players in the hunt, but I believe that Bagwell and Snider are the best of the bunch. Bagwell was an unrelentingly outstanding batter his entire career, plus he ran very well for a first baseman. Snider was a true 5 tool star, with great peak seasons. His big bat in centerfield gave the Dodgers a terrific offensive advantage. The great offensive CFers all bring their teams a substantial advantage that many fans don't appreciate.

Thought I'd go through and pick out the top players in WAR remaining. I don't sue the WAR value itself in my ranking, but like to look at the baserunning and positional and defensive components especially. To avoid confusion, I won't number them. Also still think Catchers need some extra longevity boost tacked on to their WAR-maybe 10%, and that league quality is not dealt with for the most part.
