the great majority of "comparables" for any player turn out to be contemporaries, or at least people who played in the same general timespan ... as demonstrated by the names in post #1 here.

But one of Ducky Holmes's (Major League debut 1895) most comparables is Scott Podsednik (Major League debut 2001)!

is this the biggest time gap ever between comps? if not, what is?
