Monday marks the anniversary of Satchel Paige's major league debut on 7/9/1948. With the All-Star Game in Kansas City, where he made a lot of his magic happen with the Monarchs, I was able to catch up with two of the players from that game who are still alive to recall the event. Enjoy the read.
