Greatest partial seasons 1961-1985
Name a player, a group of players (even multiple seasons by one player), or assemble a team with as many players as you want with the following criteria:
1) Season(s) MUST BE between 1961 (expansion/integrated era) and 1985 ("pre-steroid era")
2) Any partial season as defined by
a) first half vs second half or vice versa as determined by the ASG
b) home or away for one season although you can only use "away" stats, no use of home park only to avoid park illusions like Coors Field or old Dodger Stadium
c) any traded player's stats for one team only as long as at least 33% of his PA/IP are included and no more than 67% of his PA/IP are included (I tweaked this to include 1964 Lou
Brock)
d) NO strike seasons included unless the strike was short enough that less than 16 games were missed
e) no use of WAR, OPS+, WIN SHARES or other "modern" formulas can be noted as reason to include, looking for basic stats BA, HR, RBI, OB%, SA etc for hitters, W-L. IP, K, ERA etc
for Pitchers
I am interested to see perhaps who had the most HRs, wins, etc with this criteria
