he's one of three players in Siena basketball history with their number retired

he was at last nights Siena alumni game

he's in a wheel chair and has tubes on his head so he doesn't look like he's in great shape but he was able to give a short speech

    anyone remember him???

i bet if one of you saw an ex 1950s MLB player you'd be posting about it too.

It's cool that you got to see him, but considering how obscure a player he is, most people probably have nothing to say about him. It's a shame he doesn't sound like he's doing too well health-wise, but I'm happy for him that he got to be honored.

        Never saw him play, but...

I have his '61 Topps card somewhere. I got it in a lunchroom trade in '77 or so, along with several other Red Sox of that year and a '62 Roger Craig, so I've know his name for a long time.

Glad to know he's still alive and able to get out, even if he is fighting against some challenges.
