Interesting, but I think a lot of the columns that were "written" by baseball men in those days were actually ghostwritten by sportswriters. I don't know if those were Cobb's actual words.
Ty Cobb had some words for Honus Wagner before they faced off in the 1909 World Series, but after Wagner outplayed Cobb in that Series, it's possible Cobb's view was altered.
