I thought Hornsby and Cobb played against each other in this league (and almost mixed it up on the field).

There is a book about the subject titled "The California Winter League: America's First Integrated Professional Baseball League" by William McNeil... There's also this webpage from the Center for Negro League Baseball Research: Winter League Teams

started a topic California Winter League

    California Winter League

This was a league played in California up until 1946 where stars from the AA and AAA minor leagues played stars from Negro Leagues. I checked baseball-reference.com and could not find any information on what teams played and stats. Could anyone tell me where I could find information on this league?
