  • Every three years - how odd is that?

Does anyone else find it odd, weird or just no big deal that the Chicago Cubs won pennants in 1929, 1932, 1935 and 1938?

4 times in 10 years but exactly in 3 year intervals.

And they of course lost all 4 WS
    1. The more I learn, the more convinced I am that many players are over-rated due to inflated stats from offensive home parks (and eras)

I think it's just a statistical coincidence. The whole personnel of the league would have turned over between 1929-1938.

What I find odd and weird is that they've won no pennant at all in my lifetime, and I'm no spring chicken.
They call me Mr. Baseball. Not because of my love for the game; because of all the stitches in my head.

Plenty of playoffs since '84 though at least.

Is 6x in 29 years a lot, realative to the other teams in the current format?
