Updated Baseball Fever Policy

Baseball Fever Policy

I. Purpose of this announcement:

This announcement describes the policies pertaining to the operation of Baseball Fever.

Baseball Fever is a moderated baseball message board which encourages and facilitates research and information exchange among fans of our national pastime. The intent of the Baseball Fever Policy is to ensure that Baseball Fever remains an extremely high quality, extremely low "noise" environment.

Baseball Fever is administrated by three principal administrators:
webmaster - Baseball Fever Owner
The Commissioner - Baseball Fever Administrator
Macker - Baseball Fever Administrator

And a group of forum specific super moderators. The role of the moderator is to keep Baseball Fever smoothly and to screen posts for compliance with our policy. The moderators are ALL volunteer positions, so please be patient and understanding of any delays you might experience in correspondence.

II. Comments about our policy:

Any suggestions on this policy may be made directly to the webmaster.

III. Acknowledgments:

This document was based on a similar policy used by SABR.

IV. Requirements for participation on Baseball Fever:

Participation on Baseball Fever is available to all baseball fans with a valid email address, as verified by the forum's automated system, which then in turn creates a single validated account. Multiple accounts by a single user are prohibited.

By registering, you agree to adhere to the policies outlined in this document and to conduct yourself accordingly. Abuse of the forum, by repeated failure to abide by these policies, will result in your access being blocked to the forum entirely.

V. Baseball Fever Netiquette:

Participants at Baseball Fever are required to adhere to these principles, which are outlined in this section.
a. All posts to Baseball Fever should be written in clear, concise English, with proper grammar and accurate spelling. The use of abbreviations should be kept to a minimum; when abbreviation is necessary, they should be either well-known (such as etc.), or explained on their first use in your post.

b. Conciseness is a key attribute of a good post.

c. Quote only the portion of a post to which you are responding.

d. Standard capitalization and punctuation make a large difference in the readability of a post. TYPING IN ALL CAPITALS is considered to be "shouting"; it is a good practice to limit use of all capitals to words which you wish to emphasize.

e. It is our policy NOT to transmit any defamatory or illegal materials.

f. Personal attacks of any type against Baseball Fever readers will not be tolerated. In these instances the post will be copied by a moderator and/or administrator, deleted from the site, then sent to the member who made the personal attack via a Private Message (PM) along with a single warning. Members who choose to not listen and continue personal attacks will be banned from the site.

g. It is important to remember that many contextual clues available in face-to-face discussion, such as tone of voice and facial expression, are lost in the electronic forum. As a poster, try to be alert for phrasing that might be misinterpreted by your audience to be offensive; as a reader, remember to give the benefit of the doubt and not to take umbrage too easily. There are many instances in which a particular choice of words or phrasing can come across as being a personal attack where none was intended.

h. The netiquette described above (a-g) often uses the term "posts", but applies equally to Private Messages.

VI. Baseball Fever User Signature Policy

A signature is a piece of text that some members may care to have inserted at the end of ALL of their posts, a little like the closing of a letter. You can set and / or change your signature by editing your profile in the UserCP. Since it is visible on ALL your posts, the following policy must be adhered to:

Signature Composition
Font size limit: No larger than size 2 (This policy is a size 2)
Style: Bold and italics are permissible
Character limit: No more than 500 total characters
Lines: No more than 4 lines
Colors: Most colors are permissible, but those which are hard to discern against the gray background (yellow, white, pale gray) should be avoided
Images/Graphics: Allowed, but nothing larger than 20k and Content rules must be followed

Signature Content
No advertising is permitted
Nothing political or religious
Nothing obscene, vulgar, defamatory or derogatory
Links to personal blogs/websites are permissible - with the webmaster's written consent
A Link to your Baseball Fever Blog does not require written consent and is recommended
Quotes must be attributed. Non-baseball quotes are permissible as long as they are not religious or political

Please adhere to these rules when you create your signature. Failure to do so will result in a request to comply by a moderator. If you do not comply within a reasonable amount of time, the signature will be removed and / or edited by an Administrator. Baseball Fever reserves the right to edit and / or remove any or all of your signature line at any time without contacting the account holder.

VII. Appropriate and inappropriate topics for Baseball Fever:

Most concisely, the test for whether a post is appropriate for Baseball Fever is: "Does this message discuss our national pastime in an interesting manner?" This post can be direct or indirect: posing a question, asking for assistance, providing raw data or citations, or discussing and constructively critiquing existing posts. In general, a broad interpretation of "baseball related" is used.

Baseball Fever is not a promotional environment. Advertising of products, web sites, etc., whether for profit or not-for-profit, is not permitted. At the webmaster's discretion, brief one-time announcements for products or services of legitimate baseball interest and usefulness may be allowed. If advertising is posted to the site it will be copied by a moderator and/or administrator, deleted from the site, then sent to the member who made the post via a Private Message (PM) along with a single warning. Members who choose to not listen and continue advertising will be banned from the site. If the advertising is spam-related, pornography-based, or a "visit-my-site" type post / private message, no warning at all will be provided, and the member will be banned immediately without a warning.

It is considered appropriate to post a URL to a page which specifically and directly answers a question posted on the list (for example, it would be permissible to post a link to a page containing home-road splits, even on a site which has advertising or other commercial content; however, it would not be appropriate to post the URL of the main page of the site). The site reserves the right to limit the frequency of such announcements by any individual or group.

In keeping with our test for a proper topic, posting to Baseball Fever should be treated as if you truly do care. This includes posting information that is, to the best of your knowledge, complete and accurate at the time you post. Any errors or ambiguities you catch later should be acknowledged and corrected in the thread, since Baseball Fever is sometimes considered to be a valuable reference for research information.

VIII. Role of the moderator:

When a post is submitted to Baseball Fever, it is forwarded by the server automatically and seen immediately. The moderator may:
a. Leave the thread exactly like it was submitted. This is the case 95% of the time.

b. Immediately delete the thread as inappropriate for Baseball Fever. Examples include advertising, personal attacks, or spam. This is the case 1% of the time.

c. Move the thread. If a member makes a post about the Marlins in the Yankees forum it will be moved to the appropriate forum. This is the case 3% of the time.

d. Edit the message due to an inappropriate item. This is the case 1% of the time. There have been new users who will make a wonderful post, then add to their signature line (where your name / handle appears) a tagline that is a pure advertisement. This tagline will be removed, a note will be left in the message so he/she is aware of the edit, and personal contact will be made to the poster telling them what has been edited and what actions need to be taken to prevent further edits.

The moderators perform no checks on posts to verify factual or logical accuracy. While he/she may point out gross errors in factual data in replies to the thread, the moderator does not act as an "accuracy" editor. Also moderation is not a vehicle for censorship of individuals and/or opinions, and the moderator's decisions should not be taken personally.

IX. Legal aspects of participation in Baseball Fever:

By submitting a post to Baseball Fever, you grant Baseball Fever permission to distribute your message to the forum. Other rights pertaining to the post remain with the ORIGINAL author, and you may not redistribute or retransmit any posts by any others, in whole or in part, without the express consent of the original author.

The messages appearing on Baseball Fever contain the opinions and views of their respective authors and are not necessarily those of Baseball Fever, or of the Baseball Almanac family of sites.

            CARLOS YANES REACHED 202 VICTORIES; JEISON PACHECO HAD 3 HOMERUNS

            Isla de la Juventud Grapefruit Croppers hitters had 14 hits including 3 home runs and 3 doubles and veteran righthy Carlos Yanes got his 202 victory helping Isla de la Juventud beat the Holguín Hounds 15 to 11. Hounds hitter Jeison Pacheco had 3 home runs and 7 RBI.

            ALEXEI RODRÍGUEZ PITCHED A SHUTOUT IN A GREAT DUEL AGAINST CUBAN NATIONAL TEAM MEMBER PEDRO LAZO

            Righty Alexei Rodríguez allowed 5 hits and veteran Víctor Bejerano had his 4th homer of the season helping the Granma Sorrels win the final game of series 3 to 0 against the Pinar del Rio Cigar Makers. The third game featured a pitchers duel in which Alexei Rodriguez beat Pedro Lazo 3 to 0. Granma won the series 2 to 1.
            Rodriguez and lazo allowed 5 hits apiece. In the 7th inning, Yoahannis Cespedes stole home.

            MICHEL PINO FEO KEPT THE INDUSTRIALES LIONS IN CHECK

            The Ciego de Ávila Tigers had an easy time against the Industriales Lions hitting 12 hits against Lions pitching. Yorelvis Charles had his 9th home run in support of righty Michel Pino Feo who allowed 4 singles in 8 shutout innings.
            The Tigers punished Lions pitchers David Álvarez Pompo, Odrisamen Despaigne y Carlos M. Puentes. The Tigers won the series 2 to 1.

            ALEXANDER RODRÍGUEZ AND ALEXANDER DIGURNAY COMBINED TO BEAT THE CURRENT PITCHING LEADER YADIEL TORRES

            The combination of Rodríguez and Digurnay were enough to beat the Metropolitanos Warriors allowing 5 hits and 1 runs helping the Guantanamo Indians beat the Warriors 2x1. This serie was won by the Indians 2 games to 1. Alexander Digurnay had his leading 7th saves.


            TWO CIENFUEGOS SHRIMPS LEFTIES COMBINED TO BEAT LAS TUNAS MAGICIANS

            Lefties Yosvani Pérez and Adiel Palma dominated Las Tunas batters and Cienfuegos avoided the sweept by winning 5 to 3. The Shrimps had 12 hits including 3 doubles and were led by Andy Sarduy 4-3 and Jose Abreu 4 -2.


            VILLA CLARA CELEBRATED THE 40TH ANIVERSARY OF THEIR AGUSTO CESAR SANDINO STADIUM

            The pregame ceremony included a tribute to Villa Clara all time greats.

            Villa Clara won the game 8x1 over La Habana Cowboys. In the 1st inning, Ariel Borrero (4-2) had his 3rd Hrs with Adonis García (4-1) and Yorquis La Rosa (3-3) on base. Later in the game, La Rosa hit a homer of his own. The winning pitcher was Vladimir Hernandez and Yolexis Ulacia saved it.

            ISMEL JIMÉNEZ HELPED SANTI SPIRITUS ROOSTERS AVOID BEING SWEEPT BY THE CAMAGÜEY CERAMISTS

            Ismel Jiménez pitched well enough to earn the win allowing 2 runs on 9 hits. Frederich Cepeda homer and Yuniesli Gourriel, Yunier Mendoza and Eriel Sánchez had an RBI apiece for the Roosters. Camaguey Ceramists won the series 2 to 1.


            SANTIAGO DE CUBA BROUGHT THEIR BROOMS TO EL PALMAR DE JUNCO STADIUM, MATANZAS

            The current champion, the Santiago de Cuba Wasps swept the Matanzas Cocodriles by winning the final game of the series at the older stadium in Cuba, El Palmar de Junco. The Wasps offense scored 15 runs against 5 Cocodriles runs. The International Mercy Rule was applied because 10 or more runs difference after 7 innings. Albert Carrión recorded the win. The Wasps had 18 hits including 5 doubles and a homer from Pedro Poll of Cocodriles pitchers Yuset Pagés, Carlos Cairo and Daniel Molina.
            Cocodrile Yoandy Garlobo (5-2) had a homer and 2 RBIs.

              45th Cuban National League News



              LAS TUNAS MAGICIANS BEAT INDUSTRIALES LIONS FOR THE FOURTH TIME IN AS MANY GAMES

              During their first meeting, the Magicians sweet the Lions in Las Tunas. Under the leadership of manager Rolando Ponce, the Magicians have displayed a smart and cohesive game. This time at the Latinoamericano stadium, home of the Lions and host of the Baltimore Orioles and Cuba game, the Magicians won 4 x 3. The Lions displayed a poor defense and three Lions runners were sent to home by the third base coach who clearly should have hold the runners at third base. All three runners were out at home.
              The winning pitcher was RHP Ubisney Bermúdez and the losing pitcher was Frank Menéndez in relief of lefty Maicel Diaz.
              Las Tunas had 7 hits including a monster shot by Yordanis Alarcón in the fourth inning of starter Maicel Díaz.
              Lions CF Carlos Tavares and team Cuba member had a hit in the first and has hit safety in 17 games.


              GUANTÁNAMO INDIANS STOPPED ISLA DE LA JUVENTUD WINNING STREAK AT 4


              Roberquis Videaux (4-3 with a HR, 2B and 5 RBI), Giorvis Duvergel (6-4) and Andrés de la Torres (5-4) combined for 11 of the 16 Indians hits to led Guantánamo its third consecutive win. The final score was 12x3 in which the Grapefruit Croppers skipper Armando Jhonson used 4 pitchers.
              For the Croppers started Ronald Garcia and veteran RHP Gervasio Miguel followed. Both were charged 4 earned runs.
              Righties Leyán Lores (2 ER 5 innings) and rookie Loavis Perán (4 innings) were the pitchers used by the Indians.



              CIEGO DE ÁVILA TIGERS BEAT SANCTI SPIRITUS ROOSTER RHP YOVANI ARAGÓN


              Ciego de Ávila Tigers had 9 hits and score 4 times against Yovani Aragon who pitched 8 innings in a loss cause. Tigers pitchers Alien Mora ( 3 ER in 6 innings) and Ismael Gonzalez ( 0 runs in 3 IP) combined forces to beat the Roosters 4 x 3.
              Tigers best hitters were Yorelvis Charles (3-3, 2B), Yaibel Tamayo (4-2, HR), Yorbis Borroto (3-1), all three with one RBI apeace.

              For the Roosters, team Cuba member Yulieski Gourriel had his 12 HR, Liván Monteagudo and Eriel Sánchez (4-3).


              GRANMA SORRELS WON BY THE INTERNATIONAL MERCY RULE AGAINST THE MATANZAS COCODRILES

              The Sorrels scored 12 times and veteran RHP Ciro S. Licea allowed 2 ER on 4 hits to beat the Cocodriles 12 x 2. Sorrels hitters had 15 hits including the 10th HR of Alfredo Despaigne.

              Veterans Víctor Bejerano (3-2) and Carlos Barrabí (3-2) and Alfredo Despaigne had 7 RBI. The losing pitcher for the Cocodriles was Yosvani Fonseca.



              LUIS BORROTO BEAT NORBERTO GONZALEZ


              Villa Clara Orange Growers beat the Cinfuegos Shrimps in a pitchers duel 2x1. Luis Borroto won his league leading 7 wins streaking out 10 Shrimps hitters and allowing one run. Norberto Gonzalez was pitching a gem until the 8th innings when the Orange Growers scored 2 runs. Cuban team member SS Eduardo Paret (4-2) and highly touted prospect Dayan Viciedo (3-2) had hits off Gonzalez setting the stage for Cuban team member Catcher Ariel Pestano who drove both runs with a double.


              HABANA COWBOYS YULIESKI GONZÁLEZ PITCHED A GEM AGAINST THE CAMAGUEY CERAMISTS


              Cuban team member lefty Yunieski González allowed a run in 8 innings against the Ceramists and La Habana beat Camaguey 11 x 1. Cowboys hitters Luis I. González (4) and Danger Guerrero (3) had a HR and 3 RBI apiece.


              A 13 HITS ATTACK HELPED PINAR DEL RIO BEAT THE CURRENT CHAMP SANTIAGO DE CUBA


              The Pinar del Rio Cigar Makers had 5 batters with 2 hits and Donald Duarte hit a HR with 3 men on base to easily beat the Wasps in Pinar del Rio.
              Wasps pitcher Alberto Bicet exited in the 6th after allowing 8 ER. The winning pitcher was Yuniesky Maya (1 ER in 6 and 2/3 with 8 SO and 4 Walks).

              Raidel Hernández (2b and 2 RBI), Arturo Castro (4-2), Alexei Ramírez (4-2 with 2 doubles and 1 RBI), Jorge Padrón (4-2) and Yosvany Peraza (3-2) paced Pinar del Rio to its 20th win of the season.



              OTHER BASEBALL NOTES:

              THE EAST TEAMS HAVE DOMINATED THE INTER-LEAGUE GAMES SO FAR!

              The teams from the east league have won 103 games versus 88 loses. There is only one more inter-league round left.

              Groups B and C have the better combined record with 50/46 and 57/38.

              The following teams are good enough to make a run at the leaders and subleaders:
              Pinar del Río Cigar Makers, La Habana Cowboys, Sancti Spíritus Roosters, Ciego de Ávila Tigers Camagüey Ceramists, Cienfuegos Shrimps and Matanzas Cocodriles.

                45TH CUBAN NATIONAL SERIES NEWS



                YADEL MARTÍ STOPPED LAS TUNAS

                It took Industriales 5 tries to beat Las Tunas thanks to a great relief by Yadel Martí, who replaced starting pitcher Dainys García. Marti entered the game in the 8th with 2 runners on and no outs with the game in favor of the Lions 6x4 in front of more than 40 thousands fans.
                Marti was rocked in Las Tunas allowing 10 hits and 8 ER, but this time he strikeout Lázaro Ortiz, Quila and pinch hitter Jonhson. Carlos Tabares and veteran Enrique Díaz homer.


                GUANTÁNAMO WITH LESTAPIER-DIGURNAY BEAT LA ISLA DE LA JUVENTUD AGAIN

                The Guantánamo Indians pitchers had good performances for second day in a row to beat the Grapefruit Croppers. Yandri Lestapier and Alexander Digurnay combined to win 3 x 1. Roberquis Videaux (2 RBI) and Andrés de la Torre (1 RBI) led the Indians.


                JONDER MARTINEZ, KENY RODRÍGUEZ AND JOSE GARCÍA COMBINED IN COWBOYS VICTORY

                Righties Kenny Rodríguez and José A. García had good relief appearances helping the Habana Cowboys beat Camaguey Ceramists 7 x 4.

                Michel Rodríguez hit his 4th HR of the season

                ÁNGEL PEÑA GAVE SANCTI SPÍRITUS THE VICTORY VERSUS CIEGO DE AVILA

                RHP Ángel Peña pitched his best game as a starter helping Sancti Spíritus beat the Tigers 2x1.

                Cuban team members Eriel Sánchez homer and Frederich Cepeda and Yunieski Gourriel doubled.


                HOLGUÍN BEAT THE METROPOLITAN WARRIORS TWICE

                The Holguin Hounds recorded 2 wins against the Warriors with scores of 4x1 and 3x2. The victories were for pitchers Luis Miguel Rodríguez and Javier Fernández.

                Starley Sánchez had 3 of the 5 Warriors hits.

                The losing pitcher was veteran René Espín who allowed HR to Juan Rondon and a 3 run bomb to Franklyn Aballe.

                In the second game, Javier Fernández pitched 7 innings and allowed 2 ER on Jocquel Gil homer.

                The losing pitcher was veteran lefty Heriberto Collazo who allowed 3 runs in 7 IP.


                WITH THE PITCHING OF BAÑOS AND HOMERS FROM CASTRO AND RAMÍREZ PINAR DEL RIO WON

                Vladimir Baños allowed 4 singles and Arturo Castro and Cuban team member Alexei Ramírez homers Pinar del Río beat Santiago de Cuba 6x0.


                GRANMA SORRELS APPLIED THE MERCY RULE TO THE MATANZAS COCODRILES FOR A SECONG DAY IN A ROW

                The Sorrels beat the Cocodriles 11x1 led by young RHP Yanier González who won his 7th game of the season. Gonzalez allowed 1 run on 7 hits. He pitched 6 innings striking out 6 and walking 1.


                VILLA CLARA IS JUST 2 GAMES BEHING LEADER LAS TUNAS

                With 12 hits, the Orange Growers beat the Cienfuegos Shrimps 7x5. Eduardo Paret homer against Adiel Palma. Palma could not make pass the 2nd inning.

                Adonis García (5-3) and Dayán Viciedo (4-2) were the best Villa Clara hitters.,
                Shrimp Osvaldo Arias hit a 2 run homer.

                  IFREDI COSS SHOUTOUT THE TIGERS

                  Ifreidi Coss allowed 4 hits Sancti Spíritus beat Ciego de Avila by the mercy rule 13x0.
                  Liván Monteguado (3-3), Yulieski Gourriel (4-2), Eriel Sánchez (4-2), Frederich Cepeda (4-2), Yunieski Gourriel (4-3) and Adonis Zamora (4-2) helped the Roosters scored 9 times in the 7th.

                  GRANMA BEAT MATANZAS FOR THE FIFTH TIME

                  Matanzas pitchers took another beating allowing 18 hits including homers by Yordanis Samón (5) and Yohennis Céspedes (12). The final scored was 12x5.

                  Rookie pitcher Alberto Soto won for the Sorrels. Alfredo Despaigne (5-4), Yordanis samón (4-3) and Yohennis Céspedes (5-3), with 3, 4 and 2 RBI a piece paced the Sorrels offense.

                  HABANA COWBOYS WAITED ODELIN DEPARTURES TO BEAT THE CERAMISTS

                  The Cowboys starter Yudel Tudero and Camaguey Ceramists Vicyhondri Odelín had a pitchers duel until Cuba National team pitcher Odelin exited the game in the 7th. The Cowboys only had one hits against Odelin courtesy of Alexei López. Ernesto Molinet had a Grand Slam.

                  GUANTÁNAMO SWEEPT ISLA DE LA JUVENTUD

                  Playing as a visitors, Isla de la Juventud sweept Guantánamo during the first series between them, but this time was the other way aroung. The Indians beat the Grapefruit Croppers 9x7 helped by homers from Roberquis Videaux (3-2) and Yoenny Southerán (5-2). Alexander Digurnay had his 9 save.

                  SANTIAGO DE CUBA BEAT PINAR DEL RÍO

                  Alexander Jorge hit the winning run in the 10th inning helping the Wasps beat the Cigar Makers 5x4.

                  Manuel Benavides (6-2), José J. Ruiz (5-3) and Rolando Meriño (5-2) led the Wasps attack.

                      Industriales Lions vs Camaguey Ceramists

                      Industriales beat Camaguey 11x4 at the Latinoamericano stadium in Havana City. Dioelsis Linares had two homers in the same inning and Cuba team CF Carlos Tavares had a grand slam for the Industriales Lions. Tavares hitting streak stands at 19 games now. After Camaguey Ceramists and Cuba team member Leslie Anderson homer in the fourth, the Lions scored 10 times at the bottom half of the inning. Yadel Marti won his 6th game.

                      Havana Cowboys vs Las Tunas Magicians

                      Young sensation Yadiel Pedroso helped the Cowboys keep pace with the Lions by beating the Magicians 6x2. Pedroso allowed 7 hits, six SO and 4 walks. Osmani Urrutia and Lazaro Ortiz doubled of Pedroso.

                      Holguin Hounds vs Matanzas Cocodriles

                      The Hounds handed the Crocodiles their 8 consecutive losses by winning 7x5. For the Hounds, Yeral Sanchez homer and doubled producing 5 RBIs.


                      Ciego de Avila Tigers vs Cienfuegos Shrimps

                      Danny Miranda hit his 4th and 5th home runs and had 3 RBIs helping the Tigers beat the Cienfuegos Shrimps. LHP Maikel Folch allowed one earned run on 7 hits for the win. Folch became the third pitcher to win 7 games.


                      Metropolitanos Warriors vs Granma Sorrels

                      The Warriors stopped the Sorrels winning streak at 5 by winning 11x10. Sorrels hitter Yohenis Cespedes had his 13th home run and Luis Ferrales hit one for his 9th. Irati Chirino (5-3) and Jocquel Gil (5-3) had a great game for the Warriors.

                        This was the 9th consecutive loss for the Crocodiles. Crocodiles Yoandry Garlobo is the new hitting leader with 415 (144/60).

                        Santi Spiritus Roosters vs Villa Clara Orange Growers

                        Visiting Sancti Spíritus beat Villa Clara twice 9x3 and 4x2. The winning pitchers were Noelvis Hernández and Ramón Licor. The losing pitchers were rookies Juan Y. Serrano and Freddy A. Álvarez.

                        In the first game, Yulieski Gourriel tied Vismay Santos and Yohenis Céspedes with his 13th home run. Eriel Sánchez (8-4) 4 RBIs and Frederich Cepeda (4-3) paced the Roosters offense.

                        For the Oranges, team Cuba catcher Ariel Pestano had his 6th HR.

                        Pinar del Rio Cigar Makers vs Guantanamo Indians

                        Pinar del Río won by the Mercy Rule 11x1 and 5x2 in the doubleheader. Pedro L. Lazo and José R. Melendis were the winning pitchers. The losing pitchers were Eglys Leliebre and Alexander Rodríguez.

                        Reidel Álvarez, Rafael Valdés and Raidel Hernández combined for 9 of Pinar del Rio 17 hits and 9 RBIs.


                        Santiago de Cuba Wasps vs Isla de la Juventud Grapefruit Croppers

                        Santiago de Cuba won the first game 13x7, but lost the second game against the Croppers 7x11.

                        In the doubleheader, the Wasps had 27 indiscutibles with homers from Manuel Benavides (1), Rolando Meriño (4) and Edilse Silva (3). The Croppers had 17 hits including 2 HRs from Luis Fonseca (5 and 6), Orlis L. Díaz (7) and Juan C. Moreno (1).

                        Ciego de Avila Tigers vs Cienfuegos Shrimps

                        Cienfuegos LHP Yasser Pérez allowed 5 hits against Ciego de Ávila becoming the 4th pitcher with 2 shutouts. The final score was 2x0. A home run by Andy Sarduy (3-2) with one man on was the diference in the game. The losing pitcher was Michael Pino Feo.

                          The Cowboys won the doubleheader 6x1 and 6x1 against the Magicians. Winning pitchers were team Cuba member LHP Yulieski González and rookie Gerardo Miranda.
