  • Nicaragua is Happy!

A MLB executive contacted Nicaraguan Baseball Officials to let them know that Nicaragua will be chosen if Cuba can not participate in the WBC.

MLB asked Nicaragua for its preferences for a home club and a visitors uniforms.

Can Contreras really pitch for Nicaragua? I thought, under international rules, he had to wait 5 years after his last appearance for Cuba (which was in Mexico in 2002).

Are not the rules more relaxed? I thought that MLB proposed the rules. The IBAF clowns just approve the tournament.

I hope Contreras does not play. He needs to make a run at the Cy Young and shut up some people. This is his free agent year too.
