  • Welcome to Cuba!

Here is everything you need to know about baseball in Cuba.

Note: National Series "MLB talent-level comparison: Low-MLB (on a good day); Low Triple-A (on a bad day)"

I like to know what he thinks about the Cuban Super League? 4 teams.

In my opinion, Cuban National Series AA + and Super League is MLB.

Pretty good level I think... You'll make it easily to the 2nd round... But that 2nd round with DR, PR, Cuba and Venezuela's gonna be though!

I know. For the first time we will be the underdogs. In most International tournaments other teams do not have their best players except Japan and Korea. Now it is Cuba that won't have a full roster. Defectors won't be joining and some Cuban pitchers are injured or suspended.

Granma Sorrels Manuel "La Pistola/Gun" Vega: Suspended. He earned his nickname because he throws hard. He was injured prior to his suspension.

Camaguey Ceramists Vicyohandri Odelin is also comming back from injury.

Santiago de Cuba Wasps Danny Betancourt is also injured.

There are some young hurlers coming such as Yadier Pedroso, Frank Montieth, Deinys Suarez and a couple from Villa Clara.

Right now Luis Borroto looks like the best of all Cuban pitchers. He is young and has good stuff.

Pedro Lazo and Adiel Palma are getting old.

But I think they will be tough after the settle in the tournament. They have not played many professional teams this good in a tournament and there is always a myth in Cuba about professionalism vs Amauterism.

They will be fine if Castro sends the best players and leave the old ones and the Communists behind.

I'd like to see it, but I don't think there's any chance of Borroto, Pedroso, or the other young pitchers being included. Too much risk.

If they are going to send an old team, then do not show up.

We are going to play against the best of the entire world so he better sends the best players available.:grouchy
