The Rogelio Martínez i know of was a cuban pitcher of the '40s & '50s . He was born in Matanzas in 1918 and played six years in the Cuban Pro League

He appeared in the Florida International League as well. In that extremely low-offense league, his stats were:
9-4, 1.90 for Havana in 1947
19-9, 1.86 for Havana in 1949
10-4, 1.72 for Havana in 1950
20-12, 1.91 for Tampa in 1952
1-7, 7.69 for Tampa in 1953
0-1 for Tampa in 1954

He also spent three years in Mexico: 12-7, 3.14 for Puebla in 1948, 13-9, 4.19 for Mexico City Azul in 1954 and 2-4, 4.14 for the Mexico City Tigers in 1955.

He pitched briefly for the 1950 Senators and was 12-10, 3.51 in the Tar Heel League in 1953

The Rogelio Martínez i know of was a cuban pitcher of the '40s & '50s . He was born in Matanzas in 1918 and played six years in the Cuban Pro League
somewhere around the mid fortys to the 1952-53 season . He went 16-18 in that span .
In 1950 he pitched in two games for the Washington Senators going 0-1 . That same year , but earlier , in February , pitching for the Marianao Tigers , he got him a no-hitter against Almendares Scorpions 6-0 .
The cuban league had eight no-hitters in its history , seven by native pitchers . Limonar as Rogelio was called had one of those - not the seven - .
The other six came from six different pitchers in a span of 70 years .

Do you mean Rogelio Garcia?

I read about him at the PBS site and they said his name is Rogelio "Limonar" Martínez.

He pitched his seventh no-hitter of Cuban baseball history in 3-0 Marianao victory over Almendares on February 6, 1950.

Rogelio Garcia was the master of the forkball! He would have been another big leaguer. He is why many pitchers from Pinar del Rio throw Forkballs like Contreras. Many Cuban great pitchers are from Pinar del Rio, home of the best Cigars and Guayabita del Pinar Rum. I think another Pinar del Rio great pitcher, Julio Romero, is the pitching coach of Industriales or is working with the Havana City pitchers.
