What is Edward Salcedo's Status?

Does anyone have any information on the kid besides the few details Boras has let out?

Dominican: 16, 6'3, 190, ++Power, +AVG, ++Arm, +Speed, +Glove

He was alledged to have been signed by Cleveland, but then there were rumors that is not true and the Yankees signed him. Anyone have any real credible information?

According to this article, Salcedo signed with Cleveland for $2.9 million.

The story is almost a week old, though, and no U.S. media outlets (e.g., Baseball America or ESPN.com) have picked it up, so it might be bad reporting.
