This happened in Taiwan, if Delmon Young got 50 games suspension for throwing his bat, how many games you think is appropriate for this type of action.

I wouldn't be against also giving a suspension for whoever thought those yellow uniforms were a good idea.:disbelief:Greystones Mariners Baseball Club. The oldest baseball club in Ireland. 16 years and still going strong.

I'd defiantely suspend him for a season. The message needs to be stressed that you cannot put your hands (or shoulders) on an umpire.
If you do find out how many he gets, can you please tell us? Dying to find out now.
By the way, who was the team in yellow? I love the uniform (except the pants stripe would look better if it was a bit thinner).RIP - HGF [1937-2009]

That is going to be really interesting because this is Chinese Taipeh Superstar Chih Seng Lin. Starting SS for Team CT and on the Olympic Team.
I don´t know if they suspend him for a long time but I don´t think soThe only thing you know is you never know and that you know for sure!

Don't be surprised
I would not be surprised if his suspension is very short. Umpires are not treated the same over there as they are here. That was so excessive though he'll get something, but he won't get what he would in the states. No way. I loved that guy. I saw him play for the La New Bears during the 2006 Konami Cup, and hit the longest homer I've ever seen hit in person.
Copy that into your address bar, and then skip foward to the 1 minute 50 second part. The audio is not synched up, but watch, and make sure you watch the replay. If you can't find the ball it hit above the lights. It was amazing, and gave La New a 3-2 lead and sent them to the finals. I also enjoyed watching him in the World Cup, as he always had a smile on his face. But oh well, can't root for him anymore.

Wow!!That was deliberate and premeditated. He was clearly out, but it seems his beef was with the next batter which was a touch and go decision. He is no small man and he took off a long way from home in his charge at the ump. He could have caused a serious injury to the ump.........If he doesn't get a full season for that I would suggest the umps go on strike!! In rugby he would get life!

the news came out from the CPBL's official web site, seems like the suspension time will be the rest of the season. On the official web site, it said the there are NO TIME (or games) LIMIT for the suspension, which mean there a chance that this players will be bend from the league for ever~~~Last edited by ROC~~; 04-07-2008, 08:44 AM.

here are the suspensions
that explains them all. Now we'll see how long he is really out, but at least it looks like they are taking it serious. I'm really going to miss seeing him in Beijing! What an idiot. What was he thinking.
