  • DR in tough situation

DR sits now in a must win situation in order to move on to the semifinals... The fact is that we werent expecting that loss against Puerto Rico, and even less like the blowout it was... Now we must face the inspired (and btw cubano100%, team cuba is showing that they can play at any level) and versatile team Cuba, and then, face Venezuela, who wants to take vengeace of the loss they suffer at team DR's expense in the 1st round...

If both Venezuela and DR win tonight, then tomorrow's game will be awesome tiebreakers...

    VEN vs. DOM rematch
    CUB vs. PUR rematch

both winners advacing to the semifinals with a 2-1 record... and Venezuela and Cuba will get their chance for payback (I hope venezuela doesn't though... hehehe)

    This is getting pretty interesting
    Licey campeón today and always!

I'm still crossing my fingers...but so far so good.

DR seems to be coasting...Ortiz connected again.
6-0 and Sosa is pitching...he's had a very good Classic.

I salute you for you courage because you came back after the lost against P.R.

I don't think I've ever seen you post outside the international forum.

        I'm just curious.

First thing I hear when I walk in the door, "Ummm what happened to your Dominicans last night?". I knew it was gonna be a looong day.
I work with a few Bori's so I've been hearing it all day so far.

Now I'm hopeing Venezuela comes thru tonight!

I did it a couple of times in the Hall of Fame section and another time under Current Events when some falks were writing about the best position players in the ML but it was to much work and I stopped.

Thanks to the last double play it is not a 7x3 game now.

              The big Rooster stroke: Gourriel.

                Cuban pitchers are not responding??

Besides the two errors that have put the game 7 to none in the 7th ining I have to say that I was surprised wit hthe CUban team's manager choice for the pitching today. I thpugh Romero who pitched well versus Netherlandd will start the game today

Anyways, Enriquez the 3rd baseman for team Cuba is having a really bad day: he commited the error in the third inning that resulted in 2 runs scored against Cuba and now he just batted fo rhis 3rd double play in this game, so he alone has given the dominican team 6 outs and two runs!!!!! Whao why is this happening when they are under pressure??? Is it the intimidation factor or just plain inexperience playing mayor leaguers???

Well Team Cuba is playing this game today like they played against Puerto Rico on Friday, bad pitching, no ofense and costly mistakes. I just hope this game does not end with another K.O.

We need to score some runs!!! GO CUBA!!!!

Dominicanos estaban embolsados en los pantalones al final. h

Men: not only we lost the game but also our best player Gourriel.

9th inning with the bases loaded and his spot came around! :grouchy :grouchy :grouchy

Hopefully, he can play against PR.

Now I am rooting for Venezuela because we will be out. The last game will be D.R. vs Venezuela and if Venezuela loses tonight they won't have any interest in that game. P.R. will be in with 2 victories and Cuba and D.R. may end with 2 and 1 but the Cubans lost against D.R. So will be out.

Go Venezuela and show some pride!

Could be alot of scoreboard watching soon.
The Latin pool is neck to neck.

                      As for scoring it's Cuba's 10 to DR's 8 to Venezuela's 8 to Puerto Rico's 7.
This could come down to whoever piles it on in their last game.

It does not matter now because the winners in the final game are in.

                        The losers will be packing.h

If Venezuela beats Dominicana today and Cuba beats P.R. tomorrow, then it will be Cuba and Venezuela advancing to the next round. I hope this is what happens and it is very possible.

well, my wish was conceded... now 2 tiebreaker games... winners advancing, losers going home

i hope we beat venezuela, not just to make it to san diego, but also to finish what we have pending since the caribbean series... this 2nd win we'll even things up 2-2 in this years matchups...

about puerto rico and cuba, i really dont mind who wins it, but i think it might be interesting to have cuba advancing, since that'll set the stage for a probable game between team cuba and team usa... that'll be fun to watch!!

anyhow... im just rooting for DR here, so lets make it happen!!

btw, team usa is once again in a ugly position after D-train is once again D-railed...
