Watching CNN News this morning they showed coverage of the hero's welcomes given, not only to the winners when they returned to Japan, but the Cubans on their return to Havana. The efforts of these two teams have been recognised in their respectives countries the same way an American city generally recognises it's WS Champions. It was BIG in those countries and I am sure the same would have occurred if any other country had won the WBC.
