I want to see MLB open in multiple countries simultaneously. Korea, Taiwan and Mexico for example

Usually, no. But they usually have a "celebrity" American soccer fan guest every week. This is his second appearance.

also confirmation that the exhibitions against Australia won't be aired at all here.

MLB.com still has them appearing on MLBTV. Didn't think MLBN broadcasts usually did but maybe they're making an exception.

I dont have any issue with his answer either, but.....he probably shouldnt have said it. It comes off as a little arogant when you're being paid hundreds of millions of dollars to play a game and a free trip to Australia is a bit to much to ask. If he had been more direct and said he didnt like it BECAUSE it will throw off his routine and cuts into prep time for the season, i think it would have gotten to more of what his point was. But then again, he probably did, but everything needs to the story these days.

The money grab is on. Just heard on the TV that the 2 foot hotdog they'll be selling at the games will cost $40...

Wow! That is ridiculous. I assume that is in Australian dollars, but I just checked the conversion on that into U.S. dollars, and it still clocks in as slightly over $36 per dog!!

I'll be keeping track of the prices over the weekend to see how much we are getting gouged! The promoters are seeing dollar signs and will ride it for all it's worth but I don't see your average Aussie sports fan being particularly accepting of it.

I think there will quite be a few Aussies going just to experience Major League Baseball, and they'll be happy to pay anything to get that experience.

Me, I'll be setting limits on how much I spend on my 14-year-old son and myself on the day. Sure we wanna try some classic baseball food and take home a cap or t-shirt each, but we can't afford to go overboard!
