But nevertheless I hope you'll stick around here. This is a fun place with a lot of class members and mods. Welcome.

Sadly the decision of the IOC to drop it as an Olympic Sport (see seperate thread) will not help the cause, given London's successful bid for 2012.

Is that Josh Chetwynd (guy who presents on Five's baseball coverage) 6th from the left in the back row?
Ask me to change my sig! Sig changed 7 times, last change requested by MapleSyrupMan!

...Just so you all know, I love being quoted. Even if you're ripping apart my post as awful and stupid, I don't care. Quote me.

Officially boycotting all threads with steroid talk; let's focus on the good of the game.

OK, well based on that reaffirmation I'm going to stick my neck out and say yes, the guy 6th from the left on the back row is catcher and TV presenter/journalist Josh Chetwynd.

EDIT: Correction, I can't count - fifth on the back row from the left .

Yeah, which is a shame cos it would have given british baseball fans a chance to see baseball first hand.

I'm going to be moving to Edinburgh sometime around late September. Do any of you Britons know if I should bother bringing my glove? Will I be able to find a place to play or is it just pro teams over there?

I'd love to keep playing while over there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

British clubs no longer allowed to use MLB names, with the exception of Croydon Pirates, who are.

Golders Green Sox - best team name. Sadly no longer about since 1988.
