Does anybody know what the record is for the most errors committed by a team in a season? Actually, I'd like records for pre and post WWII. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, well I was doing a Retrosheet project and happened to notice that the Dodgers made 179 errors in 1986 and that number struck me as particularly high, especially for recent times. I remembered that in '03, I believe, the sports pages in NYC were constantly berating the Mets (and rightly so) for their absolutely atrocious defense. I remembered that they finished the season with between 135-139 errors or so. When I noticed that the Dodgers made 40 more than that in '86, I thought to myself that has to be at least somewhat close to the modern record.
I wonder what was most errors an above .500 team made since like the 70's or so.THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT COME WITH A SCORECARD

That's pretty incredible, they did have some potent offense that year though and were able to squak out the division by one game.THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT COME WITH A SCORECARD
