  • Home and Road Scoring

Currently, the SF Giants lead the National League in road scoring. They are last in home scoring. Has a team ever accomplished that before?

    Home: 291 runs (57 games)
    Road: 189 runs (57 games)
Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic.-Crash Davis

It has been done four times by the same franchise in the NL since 1901.

The Braves did it in 1916, 1934, 1950, and in their pennant winning year of 1958.

It has been done 5 times in the AL.

Red Sox in 1919, Yankees in 1935, Oakland in 1973, and the Orioles in 1974 and 1975.

Thanks for the info, Ubiq! I'm a bit shocked to see a 1930's Yankees team was last in home scoring.
