I know that Sean Smith's TZ does not include pitcher defense. My question is, are the runs pitchers are saving/costing their teams defensively ignored all together (influencing team seasonal TZ numbers), or are the runs they are saving/costing being absorbed by the other fielders somehow?

A pitcher interferes with sure-fire double play ball and the middle infielders not only can't turn two, but rarely get the runner at first.
