Did anyone take notice to the Rule V Draft? http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/a...milb&fext=.jsp

I found some of the picks interesting. For example, having watched the Harrisburg Senators over the past few seasons, and their record being terrible, I was surprised to see how many players from the Nationals being selected. I will be interested to follow Solomon Manriquez, who was drafted by the Rockies from the Nationals. Manriquez was selected to play in this year's Futures Game in Pittsburgh.

Anyone else stand out to you?

I liked the Tigers getting Edward Campusano. I think he'll end up sticking in the pen as a lefty specialist. Nice way for the AL Champs to supplement their bullpen. Other than that, though, I didn't see anyone that excited me.

I saw this morning that Manriquez was traded by the Rockies to the Rangers. The other pick that I like that I will definately keep an eye on is Lincoln Holdzkom from the Cubs to the Astros. I think this kid will be able to contribute to the Astros staff this season and develop nicely for them.

That's gonna be interesting. The Reds have to keep him on their ML roster all season if they want to keep him. If they don't he has to be sold back.

It's a round ball and a round bat and you gotta hit it square.
