  • Minor League team headed for Midland, Michigan.

Has anyone else heard about this? Will it be A, AA, or AAA? I heard that they were planning to build a 3,500 seat stadium and they would call the team the "Chemics" in honor of Dow Chemicals.

It's the Southwestern Michigan Devil Rays of the Midwest league. They're moving from Battle Creek for the 2007 season. Its a low A level team.
Lets Go Yankees, Valley Cats, Dutchmen, UT Spartans and ECU Pirates.

How low? Could anyone make the team?

You would still need to be signed by the Parent Devil Rays. It's the middle level of the 7 levels of minor league baseball (Rookie, Advanced Rookie, Short Season A, Low A, HI A, AA & AAA)
