    I have always believed that Charleston is one of the most under rated Negro Leagues. I believe a couple months ago, (I think this summer) SI did a great article on him and his pitching excellence in the Negro Leagues. -Sasha

      It doesn't look like anyone has done an individual book-length work on Oscar. His fiery personality would make him an intriguing subject, but I wouldn't be surprised if documents are scarce.

          There is no full length biography of Charleston that I know of. Too bad, a player of that caliber deserves one (certainly at the expense of those 20 or so written about Joe DiMaggio every year).
