    NeL 1900-1920 Deadball?

    Thinking about Oscar and the early NeL: were they playing with a "dead" ball as well?

    I figure due to expenses they used few or one ball per game...but what kind of ball? How does it play out in the stats?

      The Negro Leagues continued to allow doctoring the ball into the era of integrating. And they couldn;t afford as many balls as the major league teams could, even the least wealthy MLB teams.
