    The notice below is from e-news occasionally distributed to members of the New York City chapter, SABR, by its president Evelyn Begley.

    Adrian Burgos, Dept of History, Univ of Illinois was one member of the 2005/2006 Committee on African-American Baseball appointed by the Hall of Fame.

    Adrian Burgos, whose expertise is in Latino and Negro Leagues History, will be at the Organization of American Historians convention (NY Hilton) next weekend and may be contacted via SABR's website (click on Directory). [members only]

    Professor Burgos, who wrote Playing America's Game: Baseball, Latinos, and the Color Line (American Crossroads), will speak at the Fordham Univ. Library in the Bronx on Thursday, March 27 at 730 pm.

    Prof. Burgos will also speak at Rutgers Univ. in NJ on Monday, March 31 at 10 am.
