A lot of people say this honor validates my career, but I didn't work hard for validation. I didn't play the game right because I saw a reward at the end of the tunnel. I played it right because that's what you're supposed to do, play it right and with respect. If this validates anything, it's that learning how to bunt and hit and run and turning two is more important than knowing where to find the little red light at the dug out camera. - Ryne Sandberg

My middle name is Steven, which can be adopted to Steve. Nothing for position players (Garvey isn't better than McGriff, Sax isn't better than Maz and Finley isn't better than Terry, Mays, or Keeler. After that there's not much). I can steal the whole starting rotation though.

My middle name is Tyler. I don't think there was many good Tyler's, although I got lefty Tyler. Tyler Walker of the Giants could also be a reliever but I don't think there is a spot left for one.

How about Ty Cobb? I guess technically his name was Tyrus, but I'm sure Jim will allow it.
