  • February quiz

Thanks again to Tony for his wonderful year of quizzes Here is my February quiz, with prizes being an autographed card of a deceased Negro Leaguer, a true 1/1 card of Luis (A. ) Gonzalez, and an assortment of cards of one of your favorite recent (within the past 20 years or so) players if I have them and they're not too expensive (eg. no ARods), otherwise I'll substitute something. First place winner gets first choice, second place winner gets second pick, and third gets third. You have all month to research answers, answer sheets are due by 11:59 PM EST February 28. Send me a PM to find out where answer sheets should be e-mailed to. Remember, ANSWERS WITHOUT DOCUMENTATION do NOT COUNT. I would prefer links to websites, but also acceptable are attachments or graphics files within a document of pictures of the answers printed in a book, or citations in a book but citations MUST include full title of book, author(s) and page number (later citations from a previously cited book need only contain abbreviated book title and page number). My point is, I'm thinking the answers to these questions are not readily available. Therefore, anyone could come up with any guess (especially when a lot of the questions involve an inning, you usually have a one in nine shot, and when you're talking almost 250 Qs, someone could get about 30 just by guessing). Plus I have answers to some of these questions but my sources may be questionable.
