  • Clowns

I go to the state legislature and mingle with those other clowns.
I later go under the big top and watch my own clowns all bedecked in silly outfits and doing funny things.
I later go inside and watch some other clowns I own. They're dressed in silly outfits and do funny things too. Only they're major leaguers... Who am I?

Ed Hamman comes to mind, but I'm not sure if he had majour league players on his barnstorming teams.
"I think about baseball when I wake up in the morning. I think about it all day and I dream about it at night. The only time I don't think about it is when I'm playing it."

You have the last letter of the first name right...This legislator, circus owner and major league owner had a team that at least in my opinion dressed like clowns. They didn't really play all that bad.

        Syd Pollock maybe.

Henry Aaron got his start with the Clowns before they sold his contract to Milwaukee.

This one time legislator, circus owner and major league owner was also a onetime judge. His major league team wasn't really a bunch of clowns, but their uniforms resembled clown outfits to some..

Judge Roy Hofheinz once owned the Circus. His Astros uniforms were hideous.

Hamman and Hofheinz both start with an H.

Fooled me. I was going to go with someone with a "d" at the end of his first name -- Bud Selig!
