  • fewest career home runs with a 34+ homer season

Eddie Murray hit 504 career home runs but never hit more than 33 in any one season. My question is this. Who hit the fewest career home runs while having hit 34+ home runs in a single season? P.S. I don't know the answer

Jim Gentile had 46 home runs in 1961 and finished with 179 for his career. That's the lowest I could find, but I'm barely down the list so far.

EDIT: New lowest. Richard Hidalgo had 44 in 2000, 171 for his career.

EDIT: New lowest. Davey Johnson had 43 in 1973, 136 for his career.

EDIT: New lowest. Bob Cerv had 38 in 1958, 105 for his career.

EDIT: New lowest. Geronimo Berroa had 36 in 1996, 101 for his career.

EDIT: New lowest. Phil Plantier had 34 in 1993, 91 for his career.

Unless I missed anyone, Plantier is your answer.

Thank you so much! That is pretty amazing that Phil Plantier hit 37% of his career home runs in 1993 alone.
