  • Same team, same season.

Without looking it up, who was on the same team, same season as... Bobby Schantz, Granny Hamner, Tim Raines and Charlie Liebrandt?

    Just a guess: Fred Norman?

Pretty good guess. It's correct. You don't really think of Fred Norman as having great longevity, or with teams other than the Padres and Reds.

Now who was the player who played on the same team, same season as 26 Hall of Famers?

He wasn't who I had in mind.

I never counted how many HoFers Grimes played with. Apparently a lot...

on edit: Grimes played with more than 26.

I never said the guy I had in mind played with the most HoFers. Didn't look it up. I was browsing Baseball Reference, and came upon a particular player who'd been on some interesting teams. Figured I'd pose the question.

          I wonder if anyone's made a list?

I’m going to guess you saw the guy that kept advocating players he played with when he ran the Veterans Committee, regardless of deservedness, Frankie Frisch?

No, but I'll make it easy: he was a pitcher.

Maybe he played with the most HoFers, for someone not in the Hall himself? I wouldn't know, but not Frisch.
