    Clubhouse cake

    This is probably too easy, but . . .
    these three players share a birthday, same month and date.
    They were also teammates.
    Two of the three even share the same birth YEAR.
    ALL THREE made the All-Star team in the SAME year.

    Deciphering clues:
    All-Star game started in 1933, so it has to be that year or later.
    Three players on the same team were in the All-Star game in the same year

              Its a very good question.
              But is there justice in the answer?

                    That's probably why I couldn't find it. Maddux made every all star team from 1992 to 1998 except 1993. Justice made the 93 and 94 squad and Steve Avery made just the 1993 team.

                    Besides Maddux, how many other Cy Young winners didn't make the All Star team the same season?

                          upon further reveiw, he was just 8-8 heading into the break though with a very respectable ERA. He closed the season 12-2 with a 1.81 ERA.
