  • Upton the Younger

Justin Upton hit five home runs in the Diamondbacks' first 11 games, becoming one of three players under 21 years of age to do that. Who are the other two?

Upton is one of four players in the modern era to homer in three consecutive games at age 20. Who were the other three?

Very good (Ya'asher Koiyach). There's one more question, though.

The answer I saw was Ott, Mays, and Orlando Cepeda. I don't know about Sheckard.

Actually, I guess if Sheckard did it, it was in 1899 which is before the modern era.

Supposedly Sheckard did it in 1898 which is pre-modern era. The reference for this is the Arizona Diamonds press guide for yesterday game. You would assume they got their info from MLB. They make no mention of Cepeda.

The only reference I can find about Cepeda is in baseballlibrary.com which is known for its inaccuracies.

FYI, I got it from Upton's player page on Yahoo, under 'news and notes'.
