  • Special accomplishment

Ok, here's something people might enjoy.

I'm thinking of a particular feat. Rickey Henderson is the only person to ever do it twice. The first person to do this was Herman Pitz. The last was Derek Jeter. Miguel Dilone did it better than anybody. Who else has performed this special accomplishment? If you get it, just give a name, don't give away the special feat to anybody else... there are 10 more people who've done it before.

If the NA was considered a major league, Tim Murnane in 1975 would have been the first to accomplish it.

That's very true! My source didn't have the NA as a major league. Now that I look, there might have been some other UA or NA players who did it... I didn't have Murnane on my list.

He meant to say 1875... Murnane did indeed do it, but my source didn't consider the National Association a major league, so it didn't count Murnane.

Since nobody seems to be biting on this one... Jeff Bagwell did this, too... but he just barely did it.

Larry Lintz did it in 1976. Unlike Rickey Henderson, Larry Lintz has a good excuse, since he only had 1 AB.

Herb Washington was just inches way from doing this.

Don't you wish that after 3 years, someone would actually post the answer?

ElHalo is too busy enumerating why Mike Schmidt never belonged in the majors, why the National League is really a minor league, why the central 80% of the US should be wiped out ...

And yet, obviously, others know the answer and could post it.
