    Not that it is the answer, but Pitz had more walks than total bases in a season.
    In 1873 Munane actually had more runs than times on base by hit or walk.

    Larry Lintz did it in 1976. Unlike Rickey Henderson, Larry Lintz has a good excuse, since he only had 1 AB.

    He meant to say 1875... Murnane did indeed do it, but my source didn't consider the National Association a major league, so it didn't count Murnane.
