  • I'm Worse Than They Are

Of all the pitchers who appeared in only one game, who started and won that game, George Goetz is the only one to do what?? We are specifically excluding position players who just happened to start a game as a pitcher.

    2 possibilities:
He struck out all 4 ABs.
He gave up 10 more hits than he had K's (12 hit to 2 Ks).

Clay Fauver gave up 11 hits while striking out 1.

Several pitchers struck out in every AB of their only game. Yes, Goetz struck out the most times as the others only had 3 or fewer AB's. But I am looking for something a little more compelling and it does involve the 4 SO's.

Struck out more himself than the whole other team while he was pitching?
