    Utter has it.. Thompson's dad had a chance at pro ball too, but didn't have any transportation. But he did quarterback the high school football team and hand off to Cunningham.

    The one I'm looking for IS a dead infielder....but it's not Hubbs..

    I'll also add that this Major Leaguer, his father and Cunningham were all born in the same state. Now you'll get it.

    All I remember about Glenn Cunningham was that he survived a terrible childhood accident that burned his legs. I'll admit that I cheated slightly and looked back to see that he grew up in Kansas, but this still didn't ring the bell for me.

    was a running back on his high school football team. His quarterback fathered a major leaguer..The major leaguer had an average career,yet so many people recognize his name... Name the major leaguer.
