Most people thought that when they announced that Derek Jeter had passed Dave Winfield in career hits, that they would officially anoint him the holder of the most hits ever by ANYONE who ever played for the Yankees ... but he isn't there yet! Winfield was #2 in that regard. Obviously, anyone can look it up, and I'll give you the number of hits (3,152) by the record holder. But before I ran across this, I wouldn't have guessed him in a hundred years! Can you?
