  • Most hits in a season from spots #2 to #9

You probably know that Ichiro Suzuki has the most hits (251) in a season from the leadoff spot. But, who has the most hits in a season from the other 8 spots? This is 1918-2010 only. No cheating.

I have no idea about the batting order spots, but let's just throw Wade Boggs, Lefty O'Doul, Bill Terry, and Harry Heilmann out there.

Hint: There's one guy from the 90s, but the rest are from the 20s and 30s.

                            EDIT: Oops.
Paul Waner is incorrect. It's Lloyd Waner. #2 spot - 234 hits in 1929.

That can't be correct. Waner only had 200 hits in 1929.
