...led the league (much less the majors) in run differential but not made the playoffs?

This is not a trick question, I am really wanting to know. I am sure you know why I am asking.

The 2003 Seattle Mariners led the AL in RD (by 1 run over the Yankees) and did not make the playoffs

1. The more I learn, the more convinced I am that many players are over-rated due to inflated stats from offensive home parks (and eras)
