What do these two have in common?
I once had an awkward Baseball Fever moment just to see what it feels like...

Didn't they both start in 1967 and win Rookie of the years?
"(Shoeless Joe Jackson's fall from grace is one of the real tragedies of baseball. I always thought he was more sinned against than sinning." -- Connie Mack

"I have the ultimate respect for Whitesox fans. They were as miserable as the Cubs and Redsox fans ever were but always had the good decency to keep it to themselves. And when they finally won the World Series, they celebrated without annoying every other fan in the country."--Jim Caple, ESPN (Jan. 12, 2011)

I kinda figured it wouldn't be the two I mentioned. This is kinda tough now. I'll take a wild guess and go with They both are members of the California Hall Of Fame?

I purposely didnt want to give a great clue.....so let me add that it has to do with MLB club memberships - and something they can call each other about yearly, if they want to.

3000 hit and 300 win on same day
              1. The more I learn, the more convinced I am that many players are over-rated due to inflated stats from offensive home parks (and eras)

Correct! What would be the most significant milestones that ever happened on the same date? I guess I'm challenging us to start a thread on the most significant day EVER in baseball, based on the most record book type stuff. Could be interesting...

I still have a newspaper keepsake highlighting these events

It depends on how you define significant and how you weigh one event over another. I'll take Aaron's 715th over a 3,000 hit / 300 win day.

it is talking multiple milestones not a single one

For the day of best accomplishments, I like Rickey's record 939th steal during the same day that Ryan tossed his 7th no hitter.

This isn't as great as the others mentioned but Jermaine Dye and Paul Konerko each hitting their 300th homeruns back to back was one I liked alot.

Yes, on June 13, 2003, against the Cardinals at Yankee Stadium.
