Roy Campanella did it 3 times. Yogi Berra did it at least once. Mike Piazza did it several times.

Oops- I was wrong on Berra- just checked him. In several seasons over .300 he hit in the high 20s. In 1956 he had 30 but hit .298.

Ivan Rodriguez in his age 27 year of course...

Note his year and Campy's three years were all MVP seasons.

        Walker Cooper

Does Rudy York's rookie season count?

        Charles Johnson

        Mike Lieberthal

        Mike Napoli last year...

        Your Second Base Coach
Garvey, Lopes, Russell, and Cey started 833 times and the Dodgers went 498-335, for a .598 winning percentage. That’s equal to a team going 97-65 over a season. On those occasions when at least one of them missed his start, the Dodgers were 306-267-1, which is a .534 clip. That works out to a team going 87-75. So having all four of them added 10 wins to the Dodgers per year.

Nice calls on Campy (3x) and Piazza (8x). Berra was just soooooooo close.

            1. The more I learn, the more convinced I am that many players are over-rated due to inflated stats from offensive home parks (and eras)

This is what happens when you take a sportswriters word as gospel. They're morons. Let's scrap this, but yes I want to say 9Roy, you were correct on both points. I'm gonna find my source and lay your answers before him....

Can I get this thread deleted by a mod since it's a bust? Sorry guys.
