  • Barry Bonds, Mel Ott and Dusty Baker

Since 1918, these three are the only hitters to have a certain single-game feat more than once in their careers.

Only 56 other players have even done it once.

      Incorrect.

Good guess, though. Only 11 players have multiple games with three or more intentional walks (since the stat was recorded).

      Barry Bonds 16 times
      Mark McGwire 3 times
      Ryan Howard 3 times
      David Wright 2 times
      Ted Simmons 2 times
      Mike Scioscia 2 times
      Tim Raines 2 times
      David Ortiz 2 times
      John Olerud 2 times
      Vladimir Guerrero 2 times
      Dick Allen 2 times

Anyone else want to guess or should I give the answer?

This question sounds alot like one i heard more than 20 years ago. And my answer would be the same as Cliff's...

I'm really going out on a limb: intentionally walked with the bases loaded and their run ended up being the winning run?

Would Will Clark have just missed being an answer during his '92 season?

                  I'm not sure.

Hint: it has to do with PA and AB.

They had at least 4 PA but no at-bats?

They had one walk, one IBB, one SF, and one HBP?

Okay, then I was on the wrong path. I was looking for the common bond which was the seasons they played as Giants (Baker doing it one year). I thought the answer was something like they're the only Giants to have a season of at least 100 games played with more BBs than RBIs.

I know Mel Ott had 5 BB in a game three times.
