  • Home Runs Allowed Per Batters Faced (single season)

Who are the four pitchers to allow at least one home run for every 20 batters faced during a single season? Pitchers must have qualified for the ERA title. Name the pitchers and the years.

Hint: Not surprisingly, two of these seasons were during a strike year.

    1. Sid Fernandez 1994
    2. Jose Lima 2000
    3. ?
    4. ?

AJ Burnett maybe? or barry zito? I would also guess jamie moyer as he is the all time leader in HRs I think.

I don't know about the strike pitchers though, that was before I cared for baseball.

I think giving the years is too difficult. I'll throw out the names of Robin Roberts, Jamie Moyer (maybe that was 1994?), and David Wells.

We're looking for single seasons. Remember, the old timers pitched a lot more innings so it doesn't help them in ratio stat like this.
