  • Consecutive pitches being hit?

We've all seen the scenario where a pitcher allows HR's on consecutive pitches, right? And I'm fairly confident that no hurler has allowed back-to-back-to-back HR's on consecutive pitches, correct? But has there ever been a pitcher that threw three (or more) consecutive pitches that were just plain hit? What about only throwing 3 pitches in one 1/2 inning? Is there a way to accurately determine this bit of trivia?

It's been done at least twice that I know of. Here's one of them (6th inning).
Oakland Athletics beat Texas Rangers (5-4). Apr 15, 2006, Attendance: 16186, Time of Game: 2:24. Visit Baseball-Reference.com for the complete box score, play-by-play, and win probability

There have been many three-pitch half-innings. There have even been three-pitch half-innings with the same fielder making all three plays.
